Outlook Settings for AT&T

  1. In Outlook Express, click on Tools in the Toolbar.
  2. Click Accounts, then click the Mail tab.
  3. Click the Account under the "Account Type Connection" and then Properties on the Sidebar.
  4. Click on Servers Tab
  5. Change the Outgoing mail (SMTP): to
  6. smtp.att.yahoo.com (see images below)
  7. check the box under Outgoing Mail Server to:
  8. My server requires authentication
  9. Then click Settings
  10. Click the Radial button "Log on using"
  11. Type in the AT&T/SBC email address.
  12. Type in your AT&T password
  13. Check the Log on using Secure Password Authentication
  14. Click Ok, then click the Advanced tab (3rd image)
  15. Change the SMTP Port number from 25 to 465
  16. Check the box next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
  17. Click Apply and then Ok and send a message
  18. CityScope customers do NOT use "Hi, Hello, Test" in the Subject line when testing your mail.
