Outlook Settings for AT&T
- In Outlook Express, click on Tools in the Toolbar.
- Click Accounts, then click the Mail tab.
- Click the Account under the "Account Type Connection" and then Properties on the Sidebar.
- Click on Servers Tab
- Change the Outgoing mail (SMTP): to
- smtp.att.yahoo.com (see images below)
- check the box under Outgoing Mail Server to:
- My server requires authentication
- Then click Settings
- Click the Radial button "Log on using"
- Type in the AT&T/SBC email address.
- Type in your AT&T password
- Check the Log on using Secure Password Authentication
- Click Ok, then click the Advanced tab (3rd image)
- Change the SMTP Port number from 25 to 465
- Check the box next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
- Click Apply and then Ok and send a message
- CityScope customers do NOT use "Hi, Hello, Test" in the Subject line when testing your mail.
